TinySteps — Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the TinySteps mobile application (package com.envisagesystems.tinysteps) for Android devices, created by Abhijith K M ("we", "our", or "us"). It describes what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

The app collects the following information:

  • Email address (only if you create an account)

Used solely to sign you in so your records can be backed up and restored. Handled by Supabase Auth. TinySteps works fully without an account, and no email is collected if you stay offline.

  • Baby records you enter (feeding, sleep, diaper, medicine, growth, vaccination, doctor visits, baby profile)

Stored locally on your device. If — and only if — you sign in, these records are also copied to your own private rows in the cloud database so you can restore them on a new phone. Row-level security means no other user can read them.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy.

App permissions

The app requests the following Android permissions, used only for the purposes described:

  • Notifications

Used only to deliver the reminders you set for medicine, vaccinations, and doctor visits. Scheduled on the device — TinySteps does not send push messages from a server.

Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:

Data retention and deletion

All records live in TinySteps' own storage on your device. Deleting an entry removes it, and uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes everything local. If you signed in for backup, signing out stops any further upload, and you can ask us to delete your account and every backed-up row by writing to the contact address on this page.

If you have questions about data deletion, contact us at the email address below and we will respond promptly.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We value your trust and use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect any information handled by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
